The city is served by several school districts. Students in this community may attend Libby Elementary School and El Camino High School as well as highly ranked Martin Luther King Jr. Middle. There are also several private facilities like Saint Mary Star of the Sea School, Old Mission Montessori School, and La Petite Academy. MiraCosta College and San Luis Rey College are nearby.
There are many parks in this region and to the north is the Oceanside Golf Course which features an 18-hole championship golf course. To the east you’ll find the Mance Buchanan Municipal Park and the Mission Marketplace Shopping Center.
The beach city of Oceanside is San Diego County’s third largest and forms a tri-city area with Vista and Carlsbad. Top employers include the Tri-City Medical Center, the City of Oceanside, MiraCosta College, Select Staffing, and North County Transit District. There are many attractions like the California Surf Museum and the Oceanside Pier.
